Hello! My name is Karie Klim and I have a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in reading education, and a double AA in graphic design and computer graphics. I taught school for a number of years prior to marriage. Most recently, and for the past 10 years, I have been office manager and marketing and advertising coordinator at the Gallery of Fine Smile Design, owned by my husband, James, who is a dentist (www.jamesklim.com).
Over the past several years, I have developed an interest in promoting awareness in the community about healing for emotions damaged in childhood. James and I direct a program called The Journey (www.yourLRI.com) facilitated through small-group support work several times each year, covering topics of attachment, rejection, trauma and abuse, and connecting with your spirituality. Because of a strong interest in mental and emotional health, I began a PhD program in clinical psychology, Fall of 2007.
BIOPRO Technology could play a role in my future profession as I study the possible effects of electromagnetic frequencies and radiation on the psyche and emotional well-being. Could it be that the invisible effects of our modern technological age could be having an effect on some highly sensitive people who experience the invasive qualities of EMF and EMR which may translate to symptoms of autism, Alzheimer’s, depression, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue syndrome, panic attack, and etc.? There is a growing archive of research with applications to the dangers of EMF and EMR in the medical community. The effects of EMF/EMR in research has not yet latched hold in psychological field.
Recently, I was told something very shocking. I could not believe my ears that an egg was cooked with the EMR communication between two cell phones. Is this possible, I questioned? Even if I see it in print, how do I know it is true? Anyone can say something on the internet. I googled it and came up with as many quack reports as those claiming its truth. Finally, I found the article I was looking for after months of query, witnessed, and documented by The Daily Courier, Vernon, BC, CANADA on August 31, 2006. Cell phones and technology are here to stay. We can’t make it go away.
